Just back from the Eastern shoreline of Lake Simcoe.
The shore off Centennial is as I expected - in very good shape. This part of the Bay does not take as much pounding as Beaverton/Port Bolster and Thorah Island acts like a huge buffer, derailing the West Winds.
There is water on the Lake. However it is now 3:45pm and we are getting the odd snowflake near the Trent.
Looking closely in the Pic's you'll note several huts still out, some very close to Thorah Island.
So The following Pic's will give you the shoreline just South of the Talbot River - Trent Canal at Centennial.
And a special feature for Oldphart - a look at the Trent Canal as I drove over the bridge - East and West sort of.........He's ready to launch.......
okay, we will start with Centennial:
Parking area at Centennial - a few people have ventured out today.
This Pic shows the amount of water on the Ice - about 3" which if cold tonight will be gone tomorrow. We are looking at the North Point of Thorah in the distance.
From the Ice up into the Parking Lot at Centennial. Shoreline has held up well.
Canadian Trophy Fishing Bungalows @ Centennial.
This shot was taken on the Ice at Centennial - Lot's of surface water.
This is a shot taken in Front of George's Place next to the Trent. Parking $5.00. Note the Hut's - there are still over 50 closer to Thorah Island.
Looking East up the Trent - Pic 1 for OP - wide open
.............for OP, Pic 2 - the mouth - Note the Huts: OP plans on fishin the Trent. Go get'um OP
