Update - Renovation of the "Harry B"
bobbyb:
Well I have reached the carpet stage - I have the carpet however not the glue. I believe it's coming from another solar system..........lol.
I ordered it 4 weeks ago - so if your planning on doing any reno work to your boat, you may have to wait for product. The glue I ordered is Henry 263 - excellent stuff. I've worked with it before.
Okay, now for the Progress report
Brian, at On Your Way Marine, Orillia, did a great job on the motor - we are ready to rock!
Battery #2 - it's a AGM. It will handle all the accessories on board
Control Panel for my accessories. The Bilge pump is an Automatic type - the livewell, cig lighter, radio and my gps unit will run off this panel - once I change the stickers.......lol
Livewell, fully operational. Nice big opening. Had to offset the seating due to the second battery.
I used a 2x6 and coated it with epoxy - this will give me a strong base for my downrigger. It will be carpeted. My trusty old Eagle Finder will sit on there somewhere. It's wired in to my acc. panel.
Floor laid out in case I need to make any alterations. The gaping between is the allowance for carpeting. The round black plastic is an access panel to the breather hose on the fuel tank.
Forward towards the Bow. Notice the Alum (leveling)plate on each side under the console's. Carpet will go right over that.

Fogot to add:
The hatch doors for the livewell and starting battery are cut and epoxyed. Once the carpet is on, I'll screw the hinges in place. The decking ply is 3/4 Fir, exterior grade and has been treated with 3 coats of Spar Urathane.
The open area below the raised deck will be closed in and carpeted. I have 2 access doors - port and starboard - 1 for the 2nd Battery and the other for additional storage.
The vertical alum pieces supporting the edge of the decking/seating have to be leveled and riveted in. Had to make an adjustment for the 2 storage compartments.
