Go anyways. Can't catch fish sitting at home.  ;)

I think the spot we fished should still be good even with the low water.  :)

We took your advise Ken ... settled on a spot about 1.5 kms south of where we were last time out.
Sun was shining, water crystal clear, birds, geese,  ducks, doks and the occasional ground hog ... yep, a perfect setting for what turned out to be an eventful day.

We hit the river bank around 09:30 hours... we normally start quite a bit earlier, but I decided to wait out the business hour traffic before venturing out to pick up dok1. He meets me on the street with one hand on his waist band and the other lugging a bag behind him. He needs to get a belt for those shorts he's wearing lol.

Last time out in south London region, we got a decent tip from a few fishers, so we decided to check this spot out. We moved around a bit but found a nice area with good water depth and water flow ... Finally dok1 lands a redhorse and I landed a smaller (incidental) bass ...
As the morning ticked away, the fishing got better ...

I had a big eye on and a nice fight for a bit too, it managed to get tide up around some rocks near shore and eventually spit the hook ... a bloody reminder to take your time with these bad boys... the hook found it's way back to me  ::)  (Count to 3 and pull ... 1, 2, 3 frig .. @#$%@) ... minor wrist wound, not to worry.

I swear the new blood on that hook some how turned them fish on. So as the morning went on, we landed a few nice fish ... here's some hump day pics ~dokdok

Sweet! That walleye should make a couple of decent fish sticks.  :)

Love the redhorse.  :)

Hey dokdok, I may have a chance coming to the London area this weekend...strictly for fishing. I have 3 other fishing friends (all conservation-minded) in tow. Two may want to fish at Fanshawe, the other may fish with me.

I want to fish the same spot we fished previously. There are some quillback carpsucker there that were just haunting me ever since I saw them...I WANT TO CATCH THEM!!!

Let me know if you are free this weekend. Most likely, Saturday works best for us.  :)

You mean wear waders...or on the flip side sandals and swim short?

Update you when I get a confirmation from everyone.  :)   If I don't get at least 3 of us coming, I may not go...since gas is pretty pricey and I need people to split gas with me.  :)

Yes, either choice will work ... (just in case)
I was on the southern part of the river today and levels have come down about a foot since the weekend ... Chatham area is doing a good job at sucking up the overflow  :)
