Had 4 hours on the ice today - Perch did co-operate :)
Here's some Pic's of the Ice (9") facing Thorah Island
 
Set up the Clam - No wind - Temp -6c Depth approx 26'

It was a really nice day - fished from 10am till 2ish - non stop action - few dinks, mostly Jumbos - all on Minnows - no jigging. Total count 23 fish - 19 Jumbos the rest small hook impaled.

Ice - Have you ever smoked them? Yummy!!
 
When my wife fry's them; a little seasoned bread crumb, flour and egg - nothing fancy. She has the oven on when frying; as each batch is ready they go into the oven (low heat) - keeps them from going soggy until all are ready.
I guess I don't have to tell you they are delicious :)

Excellent report Bobby! Beauties. And I agree cleats are a must, had a buddy take a bad fall yesterday morning and he really banged his hip up, no broken bones thank God, but severly bruised now he's laid up for a month......  I enjoy bacon wrapped perch chunks 2, but I agree the simple recipes always seem to be the best, very little effort and very rewarding. Thanks for the share. Cant wait!

Just finished smoking a couple 3 lbs of fillets - nice :)
 
If you've never smoked them, give it a whirl - Applewood is great, so is Hickory.
 
Heading out again Saturday with some members of the forum - will be fun,

Love the perch. Nice!

I fished off 2nd Line of Innisfil (between Lefroy and Gilford) yesterday almost the whole day (from 8:00AM to 3:00PM). Caught close to 100 perch, but no jumbo at all (;-
