Fishy  fishy bite
Your mother said you might
Your father said he didn't care

Early Bird Prize Winner was Andrew Moore - he picked up a very sweet prize package for signing up early.

Also, Pro Tackle of Belleville provided some tackle packages, winners were Fry Flier, Andy55, and Wayne

Congratulations guys, now lets have a great day of fishing..

I'll try to post some pics and updates from the ice.

regards, Mike.

I hope everyone had a good time. Sorry that I had to leave before the supper but with the weather it was safer to drive home in the light.

Hope the winner of the Rovic Rod enjoys it. James I hear you had some success with your rod. Orange peel yours will be wrapped shortly.

Glad to have met everyone who stopped by my car and checked out the rods.

See you at Simcoe i hope.

Wanted to start off by giving a huge Thanks to Bobby, Mike S and all the sponsors and people that helped out with the event. Second I wanted to mention this is a great group of people, I met many of you and chatted with alot of yas, your all very down to earth and respectuful towards each other, puts a smile on my face to know that so many people on this board are just out for a great time. KUDOS TO ALL OF YOU!
Hey not many walleye caught but that's no big deal, if any of you are coming down this way for a fish, give me a message and I will do my best to give you info on which areas are doing well, or go out with you if youd like.   That weather system that blew in was just awful, made it hard to stay comfortable for the afternoon that's forsure, I got blown 4 feet in my portable and finally just had to flip it up and fish in the open, saw this problem with a few other huts out there but people all came together to help each other out.
In closing cant wait to see you all at the Simcoe event, you guys will kick are butts down that way, I still have a skunky smell from being there last year, so different style of fishing from here and a huge body of water. Penny I will get my auger back sometime no big deal, use it where you can and Ill just get it at the Simcoe event, I  fish with friends that have augers so I wont miss it.   I was so tired that I forgot a few things last night but no big deal...... Thanks Gofishers this group is TOP SHELF !!!!!

Wow two completely different days. Those that stayed last night will be able to tell you what a great looking day it is out here, sunny, bright and mild no wind.
Yesterday was great had a good time with new acquaintances and old friends can't beat that for the price of admission alone do not care who you are.
Sponsors thank you muchly it was, sorry let me rephrase that " it is greatly appreciated, and without you and your support this and other events would not be held". Bobby, Mike(mike S)  and helper Mike (Martycoo) great job one and all.
Okay now on to the Simcoe Challenge

Thank you Bobby and Mike S for  organizing this even. I know there are others who helped and thank  you as well. Dan, Ben and Martycoo thanks for sharing your fishing  knowledge and scouting out the area before hand it was very much  appreciated. To our sponsors, I didn't win anything but thank you for  your support and prizes anyway!!
We didn't do well, but had a good time.  Seeing that 4 foot gar pike swim under the hut sure got the heart  pumping. The only one I had seen before was less than a foot.
Looking forward to the Simcoe Meet &  Greet.
Come on cold weather.
