Here is a post that I put on another board that effects all anglers in Ontario..
Well folks I hope this a rumour I heard... The MNR are planning to remove live bait use in Lake Simcoe starting next year... I plan to do my part to stop this from happening. The tip-up stick has been a part of Canadian a since the start of ice fishing ...IT is part of our herratage and the native Indians of Canada. If this is what the MNR have planed I hope others (fisherman)like me that started and to date use a tip-up stick when ice fishing, stand up for our herratage rights and tell the next C.O. that knocks @ your hut door, your Canadian herratage rights to fish with a tip-up are planning to violated by the MNR and they should talk to there supervisor to over turn there decision... ARE YOU LISSENING MR. WIGMEN.Once I get a straight answer from the MNR regarding this issue I'll let everyone know or maybe Mr. Wigmen would like to answer this call
