End of Season ATV Ride
« on: December 27, 2011, 06:53:13 PM »

The ATV club I belong to had its annual  end of season ride. This was my 4th one, always had a good  time. This year we started with about 25 bikes, over cast skies just  above freezing temperatures and finished with lots of snow, still  above zero but accumulating and 25 bikes.
The ride was about 80 km some road  running (all legal) un-assumed roads and trails. We finished with  chili, stew and buns as well tailgate hot apple cider.

Hey Ice that would have been a great tune-up for me :)  Unfortunately I was away - dragged thru countless malls :o .
Saw a lot of rutting marks on the trees - did you get to see any deer?
...........and where did the ride take place - I would love to do that,
bobby

My sympathies Bobby for having to go to  a mall, especially this time of the year.

Yes it would have been a good tune up  for you Bobby. However you would have to get that nice new shinny  bike muddy!!! Would you be up for that? ;)

I have attached the link to the ATV  club site, it has a list of up coming events. Guests are always  welcome.

The ride took place north of Colborne,  we started off from a members place just north of the intersection of  the 401 and County Rd. 25. Its the intersection with the big apple on  the SW corner.  He has one of those old school potables as a work  shop, it worked great as a meeting place for registration and meal  after.

Didn't see any deer signs nor deer, I  would think the rumple of 25 bikes would put them on the run.

Next ride will be for ice fishing and  the snow plow harness goes on today.

Joe, Thanks for the pm and the link - much appreciated.

As for the malls/stores........I lost count.............lol - but I did get the rivets and a new gun - took up 1/10 of a cubic foot in the trunk - yet it took a half hour to unload :) . I'm sure you can imagine why ::)
