Lowrance X-50 transducer
« on: February 21, 2011, 11:18:36 AM »
Hey Folks,
Anybody have a transducer for a Lowrance X-50 graph they'd be willing to sell?? Doesn't really matter if the transducer works or not, it's the connection I need.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi GJ
Theres an outfit that has a lot of scrap boat parts and boats in Sunderland - somewhere.......
I'll see if I can dig up a number.
Also you might try Blue Moon Marina and see if there's a ducer and cable on one of there wrecks in the back yard - worth a shot.

Just a question: Did the x-16 and x-50 use the same ducer? Somehow I thought they did - could be vey wrong though....

Bobby,
Not sure about the X-16 paper graph and the X-50 using the same connections. They are of a similar vintage. I have an X-16 transducer somewhere on my boat so I'll try that once the boats get uncovered in the Spring if I strike out in the meantime. Lowrance changed the connections on all new models so you had to buy a new transducer as opposed to "recycling one you already had. Good marketing I guess but lousy PR.

That should work Horsie. Give it a whirl GJ.

[No luck on tracking down the fellow that has the boneyard yet. I think he was the same fella that had the yard on 11 North, but was forced to move. Keep ya posted.]
