2012 GoFishOnt Hardwater Challenge Lake Simcoe
« on: January 31, 2012, 10:32:48 AM »
~~~Right off the bat wanna thunk MikeS, BobbieB, for putten anutter great Party together, and our Sponcers for the prizes. plus the Alvon Motel for the great rooms. Also Al, Team Grumpy Old Man for the transportation.
 What can I say if you didn't like the weather wait 1 half hour and it would change. The Herring I caught on Friday was a bonus, but no prize tried to keep it alive till saturday, but it was dis-allowed, somethunk in the rules which I never read.
 Anyway Saturday started out great, meeting up with BOD, the Lunker twins, and the crew from Acton.
We had non stop phish through our holes, Al  lost a good one, which cut him off. I ended up the day with 8 Perch all in the 4, to 5" range. Oh well at the Acton Boys, and Al would sing Proceed to Party. here's my shots of Saturday Night, the Lunker Twins. This young scally wag is going to be a pro to watch.
MikeS, & BoobyB
OOPs hold on thebar is tilting
Rack, & Reel's, Penny, and how did I get in that shot
Team Acton with Team Grumpy Old Man
Our DDs (Disnated Decoys) cops follow them while we sneak out
And the Party' s over time to pack up and get out off Dodge
Until next time. when we'll meet at the Old Phish Market and buy our phish. then bring it home to show the wife.
 THANKS AGAIN GO PHISHEN MEMBERS
Hey Oldphart, witht he lack of walleye that's all us Acton boys could do and that's to proceed and party. I had a great time out with everyone and it was all about the social. Special kudos to Crabby Joe's for letting us stay way pasted the meal. Good job to all for stteing up this year's tourney. Thanks.
Current Ice Conditions - Beaverton ranges from 8 to 10" in the Bay.
I will continue to monitor Ice Conditions up to the day of  the Hardwater Challenge.
It appears this years event will focus on the Perch Grounds.
For those who wish to pre-fish Saturday and require accomodations, The Harbour Inn in Lagoon City (Brechin Ontario) has limited space available. Please book early.
http://www.harbourinnresort.com/
The Inn is a mere 2 miles from Wild Wing where we will hold our Awards Ceremony.
Looking forward to the day. Even if we  can't get out to the lake trout or white fish, and day of perch  fish'n is just as enjoyable.
Something to wet your whistle, these  were from Beaverton a few years back. The cutting board is 12 inches  wide. The ones beside the beer and beans were from last year.
I am receiving a lot of e mail questions regarding payment for the Challenge and Accomodation.
If you wish to stay overnight prior to or after the Challenge I urge you to call the Harbour Inn as soon as possible. There are not many rooms left
Payment - Our Pay Pal Link will be operational shortly. If you want to pay by cheque:
GoFishOnt, PO Box 452, Beaverton, Ont, L0K 1A0
We are in the process of finalizing the prize page. Check back in a day or so. As was the case with Belleville, again excellent gifts and $$.
