Hello Everyone,
We're hoping the rain isn't as bad as they say but as long as there are no safety issues, Doug has told me he will try and run this event. So, it's Saturday MARCH 5, 2011 on Lake Simcoe, out of Sibbald Point Provincial Park near Sutton. This will be a fundraiser/perch derby organized by a friend of mine who is a Conservation Officer battling Muscular Sclerosis. The area you will fish will be outlined before the event and will be accessible from the park within walking distance.
The cost will be $40 per team/family/single... $20 to the MS Walk in your name and the other $20 goes towards Prize money for the perch derby.
The event will run from 8a.m. till 2p.m. and weigh in to follow. You can enter as a team of 2, or as a family with children under 12. You can even fish it by yourself.
There will be prizes for the top 5-10 teams (depending on # of entries) then we will do a draw for the rest i.e. Each team will be given a number at the start and then we will draw and let them pick something off the table.

2 Clam Kanai Fish Traps.

2 Eagle Fish Finders
2 Mustang Survival suits
Hut Rentals on Lake Simcoe
Power tools/appliances
Sky Diving excursion
Deep fryers
Charter fishing trip on Nipissing for 3 people (Might be used for a silent auction ... TBD)
Hand held GPS, Lots of fishing gear, tackle, hunting gear, clothes, magazine subscriptions, ETC....

Also: there will be a
Big Fish (perch) contest for
$5 entry per person. (again all proceeds go to the MS Society)
The winner will be provided the replica taxidermy of the biggest perch. The replica is being offered by ADVANCED TAXIDERMY and WILDLIFE DESIGN at a value of $450.
This is meant to be a fun ice fishing event- to promote the sport and raise awareness about MS.
