Looking for info on Lake Wilcox in Richmond Hill, ON
« on: August 11, 2010, 12:17:58 PM »
Hey Guys!  Hope everyone is having a great summer fishing season.  I have been a stranger as I am busy battling Lake Ontario everyday.  My year has been excellent with lots of numbers and incredible size to boot!  biggest thus far is a 33.86 lber and 6 over 30 lbs!  I have a question for anyone that can provide some advice, I am looking for any information on Lake Wilcox in Richmond Hill, ON.  Preferably regarding species and size of fish that have been caught.  Does anyone know of any small fishing derbies that have taken place in Lake Wilcox?  Feel free to PM me with some photos if you wish!!!
Thanks!
Benny

Hi Benny, good to hear from you. I beleive there is bass and pike and no doubt some pan fish there. I also seem to recall you're not allowed motorized boats on there as well. Sorry thats all I know.
Good things come, to those who bait.

yes thats correct mike ...no gas motors i think electrics are ok ...you could call town of richmond hill for info and i believe the canoe club still has a spot there at the launch area if it still exsists. reported species i have heard , pike bass panfish etc ...its not overly fished if i remember correctly altho that area has grown leaps n bound in the last 10 years and i havent been in that area since 99. Good luck Ben , let us know if u fish it.
