how much did you spend
« on: March 03, 2011, 06:20:14 AM »
ok folks i just got done the math on what i spent in gas/minnows/tackle for the ice fishing season, below i broker down some lol

this is for 63 days of fishing and we fish every day morning/afternoon,so this like every year is based on going out in the morn, coming in around 9-10am and going back out again at 2:30pm till dark....prime time as we say.....

 1-GAS-$893.58
  $446.79 a mth
$111.69 a week (which is down from 126.31 last year)
$14.18 per day ya that sounds better lol

 2-minnows-$265.00
 53 doz at $5.00 a doz
$15.58 a week lol that too sounds better

 3-new tackle-$97.60

 grand total=$1256.18

this is only Quinte fishing and does not include the Beaverton trip...

also this is down a fair bit from last year, with more real bad weather days spent at home.

i fished from dec 17th to feb 25th (on Quinte)
my bud fished from dec 18th till feb 27th(on Quinte)

what did you spend on enjoying what our winter fishery has ta offer

Geez Hawg, That's a serious list of expenses you have there ...
With it being tax season, I hope that most of those items are deductible ...
Got me wondering what that works out to per pound  :o  of fishin' fun ...
Health reasons kept me off the ice for the most part this season ... money I saved went up in smoke .... boy does she know how to spend it  :'(

Good post HH.  I didn’t spend that much. I was up to Simcoe 4 times this year (so far).

Gas – Truck & ATV = $104
Hut Rental- 2 times  = $80
Bait – Minnows       = $10
Tackle aprox.           = $30
Grand total               $224

So that works out to $56 a trip. Not bad at all, well worth it.

Not included, 3 day splake fishing trip to Bancroft, hard to break it down do to other activities during that time!!!
