Belleville Ice Jan 04
« Reply #5 on: January 05, 2012, 07:04:50 AM »
Took a road trip yesterday to Belleville.

Met up with Martycoo and Scott. They were checking Ice conditions on the Bay - Bakelite Point.
Ice averaged 4" - all Black Ice!
As always, please use common sense and check as you go. One of my Pictures includes a shot of the Slot/Telegraph Narrows. Beware of this area as it has a very strong current running thru and the ice thickness varies from a lot to nothing

Pic's of our Jan 28th Launch site:

Straight out, off the Ramp - Ice covers the complete Bay, at this present time. Martycoo and Scott will continue to check the conditions and report back to the forum.

The "Slot" in the distance - Looking S East at Telegraph Narrows

Looking South West - Cow Island in the distance

Herchimer Launch Parking Area - 2 Lot's

Thats really great news and good to see, Bobbyb!! we should have some decent and safe ice for our Hardwater Challenge!
Cant wait to get down there and set up on the ice and catch that first walleye of the season!
Good things come, to those who bait.

I tried to retrieve them with the side hook spoons but I couldn't SEE them.

And that's not the first pair that have had a swim.
Theres a couple of them in simcoe and a few more in chemong.
The worst part, is that when I get home and the wife finds out I get the same question every time.
"Where's the float strap I paid good money for?"

It's not a cooler, it's a minnow bucket.
Those are sunglasses not reading glasses.
There's no float strap on the sunglasses.
And your the one who took the picture!!!
