Was down to the Innisfil dock this morning would you believe there was two guys went out fishing in a boat i guess they didn,t see the news about the two that went out in a canoe only one came back the other one is under the ice in Orillia and a sled went through over inthe sutton area   what are they thinging  stupid people

Oh so right Big Al - but I have my doubts you undertsnad there thinking.
 
I was in Beaverton this morning - will post some Pic's later. Ice stretches across to Thorah Island but is unsafe. The good news is the lake surface of ice is smooth so lets hope the mild weather does not break it up.

If you mean by a boat one that is big enough to handle the water & not a canoe than they can be perfectly safe as long as it's completely open water and reasonably calm.
Wearing of full floatation suits would be advisable.
Actually their most likely safer than the fools heading out on unsafe ice.

Agree 1000% with you Rick. If your going out - then be prepared for any eventuality. Unfortunately, some people do not think that way,
