Seeing that 4 foot gar pike swim under the hut sure got the heart  pumping. The only one I had seen before was less than a foot.   

It's been a weird year for gar. There has been a lot caught on quinte this winter and me and my friends have seen them maybe 3 out of the last 4 times we have been out. This is the first year for us to see them through the ice too ! Wierd !

Thanks all - had a great time and was nice meeting everyone. Special thanks to Skeeter ( Dann ) for the invite. Can't wait to do it again.

Boys that was fun!. The weather well that was another thing.

I'll be posting Beaverton in a few days Dann. Just starting to do Ice checks and locations. So far we have between 8 and 9" of good ice in the Bay between Thorah and Beaverton so thats a bonus. Let's hope Mother Nature is good to us,
